And Scene...

SECOND VERSE...SAME AS THE FIRST.

I'm pretty certain that I wrote this EXACT same post around Christmas time LAST YEAR...but, here we go again...

This year has FLOWN by...faster than any I've remembered. Christmas is over and the year is coming to a close. I can't believe that next month I'll be turning 29. Which technically means I'm turning 30. Because...you really start life at 0...and by the time you turn 1, you've actually already FINISHED your 1st year and you're on to your 2nd. So...TECHNICALLY...I'm finishing up my 29th year and starting my 30th. YUCK!

In the words of the Brady Bunch "When its time to change, you've got to rearrange...who you are into what you're gonna be...shana na na na na na na na na...sha na na na na."

I think that as I'm approaching 30...I'm slowly (and I mean SLOWLY) morphing into who I AM...who Shelli Dawn from Tulsa Oklahoma is going to be for the rest of her life. Am I going to be a busy body that never has time for others?...am I going to be a person who takes time to look at the scenery...am I going to be a person who loves giving of herself to help others?...I hope its the latter two.

I really like this quote from John Lennon "Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans".

I keep waiting and waiting for that "moment"...that day that I finally "grow up" and it all becomes clear...when oh when will that day be?

...and when am I gonna loose all this weight? I mean seriously? I've been talking about it for years. I might just follow Kirsty Alley and call Jenny.

THE HAIR DELIMA...

OH YES!...its that time of year again. That time of year when I start going INSANE from the length of my hair. My Best Friend Sarah and I both agree that it is time for us to chop chop chop!

So, I’m going to take a vote…please tell me which “do” to choose!!! My personal favorite is the "Sassy and Flippy", however, this may be extremely close to what Sarah chooses...even though we basically have same hair-do now any way. Oh well...I have to think about what would look best on ME!...right? AND...what about red highlights?

So...here you go...please vote!

Sassy and Flippy…

Short Bob…

Longer and Layered… (basically what I have now, but more shape)

HOW WONDERFUL!!!!

Last night was the 3rd annual Womens Christmas party for my church "The Grove". IT WAS A HUGE SUCCESS!!!

This year, God led me to head it up. I had such a wonderful team of ladies that helped me out. Malinda, Sheila, Meredith, Ashleigh, Shelly K., Amy, Stephanie, Erin, and Kathy. THANK YOU SO MUCH! None of it could have been possible without you.

We called this years festivities "A Jazzy Christmas"...and Jazzy it was. We had the room dec'd out in black and silver, with white christmas lights and candles as our only source of lighting. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. And the food...OH MAN THE FOOD!!!!!!!! Our ladies from the community groups REALLY pumped it up this year. We had a gigantic feast. It was absolutely wonderful.

And lets not forget those wonderful men that served us all. Dave, Nathan, Justin, Stuart, Lafe, and Scott. Thank you Men! You were such a blessing to us all.

...God was definitely glorified last night. Our concert of prayer and praise to him was a beautiful thing to listen to. Women all gathered to have fun, eat, talk, drink some yummy coffee, sing, and give praise, thanks and petitions to our creator...we truly have a wonderful God.

(And ladies...thank you SO much for my gift certificate. I'll have you know that I called the Pink Papaya FIRST THING this morning and booked a massage for 1:45 today. I'm so blessed! Thank you.)
