C.H.A.O.S. ...and my worst nightmare come true.

Ok, I've complained on this blog, I don't know HOW many times, about my lack of good housekeeping skills. I realized a couple of months ago, that I have a bad case of ,what The Fly Lady calls, "C.H.A.O.S." or "Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome". My laziness and non-ability to prioritize my time and life, has made my home one of clutter, trash, and non-washed dishes. Yuck. And my poor husband. He works his booty off at work and is a full time student. Like he wants to come home from 10-11 hour days to clean. And, after a long day at the office, I really don't want to either. Boo Hissy!

Well, today, my WORST nightmare became a reality. duhn Duhn DUHN!!!!!

UNEXPECTED HOUSE GUESTS. (imagine "psycho" theme music here)

AAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my bestest friends in the world Brian Bailey and his wife Ashley are relocating here to Northwest Arkansas. I'm so stinkin' excited. Well, Ashley (with her moms assistance) moved up today (Brians coming in about 2 weeks) and was all set to spend her first night in their new home...when, she realized that Brian forgot to get the electricity, gas and water all set up. So...she's without water or heat.

(Shelli goes into PANIC mode realizing that her dear friend and her mother are, inevitably going to be staying at HER HOUSE!!)

I went in to my bosses office, in what shall go down in history as one of my greatest "drama queen" moments, SCREAMING "YOU'VE GOT TO LET ME GO HOME AND CLEAN MY HOUSE...YOU'VE JUST GOT TO. I HAVE COMPANY COMING AND MY HOUSE IS A PIT...YOU DON'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THE SEVERITY OF THIS DAVID....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE". And what did that little turd do? Sat there, hassled me, picked on me and made me SWEAT AND FREAK OUT before he said "I don't care, silly...go home."

Well, with the assistance of the beautiful Meredith, we had this place lookin' like new in an hour. (Plus, my sweet wonderful hubby, cleaned the upstairs spare bedroom. I love him...I think I'll keep him.)

SO...THAT'S MY DAY SO FAR...HOW'S YOURS?

"Gobbledy Dee, Gobbledy Dye...Sammie Davis Jr. only had one eye"

Turkey day has come and gone...and now I'm working...on a Friday watching others put up the bank Christmas tree as I blog. Yep, I'm bored.

So...I guess I'll make a list of everything I'm thankful for, a few complaints...BUT MAINLY thankfulness:

1. God, and everything that "Sunday School Answer" encompasses.

2. My oh so hot husband Justin "Rockstar" Jones.

3. My immediate family whom I love so much and appreciate. Even though my sister SLAPPED me in the face ON PURPOSE yesterday. (Truth be known: we were be being stupid and playing around and she threatened to slap me if I called her "stupid" one more time...which I did...SO SHE DID slap me, although she meant it to be kind of light and playful, but it ended being really hard and hurting. But, don't worry, I punched her back...in the leg.)

4. My extended family (I originally had a complaint here, but decided to remove it since this is about THANKSgiving, rather than COMPLAINTgiving.)

5. My co-workers. (not so much my JOB)...but, my co-workers. My boss is hilarious, my loan assistants put up with me and the crew at this branch are all light hearted and like to have fun.

6. Making a good wage to live and be blessed with frivolous things.

7. Gobbledy Dee, Gobbledy Dye...I'm so thankful that I have both eyes.

8. My friends that make me smile ALL THE TIME!!!!!

9. My car.

10. ...and everything else that I'm blessed with on a daily basis.

"Praise God from whom all blessing flow. Praise him all creatures here below. Praise him above ye heavenly hosts. Praise Father Son and Holy Ghost. AMEN"

Oh...FALL and WINTER...how I do love thee...

I love the Fall and Winter. It is DEFINITELY upon us here in Northwest Arkansas.
The trees are a vibrant red and orange, and the air is crisp. Oooooohh...I LOVE IT!

I especially love the smells, tastes and sounds of these seasons. Sounds? Oh, you know...the rustling of leaves, the random Christmas music you hear in that one store that starts playing it earlier than everyone else, and the oven buzzer going off to tell you that you're Turkey is ready for basting. I just love it all.

So, what is YOUR favorite part of Fall and Winter?

And, I don't know why...but I really like this picture of me. It was taken last year up on the balcony of that cheesy saloon show at Silver Dollar City during their Christmas season. Gotta love "snow balls"...which is a hot cocoa with a scoop of ice cream in it that they serve at the Saloon, but only during this time of year.

Creepy Santa???

This is what life is like for a person that works with Stu.
