Fridays...a mystery of sorts.
Roses are red...violets are blue...I'm bored at work...what about you?
Hard work. Do I do it?...most of the time. But, during the summer, I find my self baby sitting the bank branch and being bored to tears. Especially on Fridays when the guys need to "make some calls with important clients on the golf course"...or..."gotta go to another afternoon conference at the country club". Please! Give me break!
See...there always has to be a loan officer here at the branch, but...I really think that I need to start taking my female clients "on important calls to the nail salon" on Friday afternoons.
I mean...really! What would they do if I, all of the sudden, said "I'm gone guys...taking a client to the salon". Or..."Guys, I've got a 3pm massage at the Day Spa down the road. I think I'm going to get their business...so, wish me luck."
Is the idea of taking off early on a Friday to impress a future client or customer, out of the question for women? Is the idea of friendly business outings ONLY for men??? And...I like golf...sure, I don't know how to play it...but, I'm sure I'd like it. Why can't I buy a set of golf clubs and expense them? I don't care if they have my bank logo on them.
Now...don't get me wrong...I'm not mad. I mean, that is pretty awesome...I AM JEALOUS. There's a difference. I'm a loan officer...I should be able to do this too.
...maybe some day.

you could take up golf. :)
I think that if they do it, by all means, you should too. If it's successful for you, keep it up. If it's not, find something else to do. Personally, I have never had a loan officer do more than um...get me a loan. Heck, I'm sometimes surprised when they actually return my calls. But then again, I'm not borrowing loads of cash all the time.
Do it! Do it! Do it! If it's something that the other loan officers do, then there is no reason that you shouldn't! Do it! Do it! Do it!
